There are three ways to reach Tiger Palace Resort:
Fly in to Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, Nepal, and connect to a 35-minute daily flight to Bhairahawa’s Gautam Buddha Airport, which is being upgraded to a regional international airport. From Bhairahawa airport, Tiger Palace Resort is just a ten-minute drive.
Or fly to Gorakhpur from Delhi or Kolkata (daily flights) and let our airport service staff drive you comfortably to Tiger Palace Resort.
For those looking for a memorable road trip, why not take a couple of days to drive to Bhairahawa from New Delhi, India’s capital. Expressways now mean you can drive from Delhi to Lucknow, via Agra, in about seven hours. From Lucknow it takes just six more hours to reach Bhairahawa, via Gorakhpur. In terms of distance, Delhi to Lucknow is about 570 km, Lucknow to Gorakhpur is 270 km, and from Gorakhpur to the Nepali border at Sunauli is 100 km. Tiger Palace Resort lies just 8 km from the border.
Tiger Palace Resort offers two alternatives for parking. You can choose to “Park & Ride”, leaving your vehicle at our secure location in Sunauli and taking our comfortable courtesy transport to the resort. Alternatively allow our border customer service team to guide you through the final 8 km to the resort and park in our large and secure car park.
Take a train to Lucknow or Gorakhpur, and then hire a cab to bring you to the border crossing at Sunauli, where our border team will be delighted to welcome you.
